Multiple-Effect Evaporator (MEE) is a type of industrial equipment used for the evaporation of liquids, often to concentrate a solution. The system consists of multiple evaporator units, or "effects," arranged in series. Each effect operates at a different temperature and pressure, and the vapor generated in one effect is used to heat the liquid in the next effect. The MEE operates on the principle of utilizing energy at multiple stages to efficiently evaporate the solvent from the liquid solution. steam commonly used as the heating medium is introduced in first effect and causes evaporation of liquid. the condensed vapour generated in the first effect is used as the heating medium in the second effect and thus the process is repeated in subsequent effects. as the liquid progresses through each effect, its concentration increases and thus is then feed into a pusher centrifuge to remove crystalline salt and further fed to the ATFD which completely dries the mother liquid and convert into salt
